December is Flying By

Only 9 days remain until Christmas Eve! I feel as if we've been in a whirlwind since we decided to move. Then we actually moved, which was very disruptive.  And then,  my precious grandma passed away. Through all this, we have managed to keep our school on track, amazingly.  This next week,we need to keep focused. We'll have our normal activities.  I think we are taking Christmas week off. Since Dad will be working I think we need to keep working the week of New Year. That's the plan.

  1. (((hugs))) on the loss of your precious Grandma. It's always an accomplishment to stay on track with school through so many changes. We are pretty much on track ourselves despite being ill. My goal is to be finished with Week 15 by the new calendar year and we have only 1 week to go :)

    Enjoy the special learning moments!

  2. Have the kitties all settled in to their new home?

    1. The kitties are doing pretty well, thanks for asking! They tolerate one another most of the time. I think moving to a neutral territory was the key.

  5. Hey, Jenn!

Wow, I can so relate to the whirlwind you describe about moving ~ we've got the worst behind us but I'm so behind on Christmas prep. We've been in our home just two weeks and you can imagine the piles of boxes that still decorate every corner! Hopefully I'll be back to blogging soon and will give an update. I've thought of you from time to time realizing that you have trod this path just ahead of me. :-)

I was so sorry to hear about your grandma in the midst of it all, our condolences. The holidays can be hard when you've lost a loved one.

Blessings on your Christmas and especially in the new year to come...good things!

  6. Oh, very sorry for the loss of your grandmother. Hug. This December, unlike any other Decembers for you!

Beautiful pictures, though! And beautiful tree with lights.

  7. I love the pictures of your new home each time! You've done amazingly well with school amidst all the disruptions and emotions. Good for you.

We haven't, so we're doing school the week of New Year's as well. But when our kids are taking time off from school, they are doing other educational things, so I don't mind too much, except for my list-checking side! LOL

  8. Fun pictures. It sure is hard staying on track with all the hussle & bussle of the season, huh? And with your move, settling, and dear Gma's passing, ((hugs)).

Sorry I haven't been much of a blogger lately. I'm spending way too much time on FB though. Actually, I'm now finally working on my "back to school" post, haha, only 16 weeks late. Hoping to reconnect with my lovely friends again - glad you are still here. ♥

    1. Hooray, you're back, Tina! I have thought about printing my blog, quite often! I may get to it one day.

  10. I love the pics of everyone playing guitar! Julie is really enjoying hers, and she also got a ukelele for Christmas that she is picking up on quickly as well. It makes my heart happy to hear music in the house! :)

Your new home looks so beautiful. We are talking about possibly moving in the spring/summer to be closer to where Paul is working now. Part of me is excited at the prospect, but I'm definitely nervous about all the packing.
